Lori Ann Prater
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lori Ann Prater on September 24, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on October 30, 1961, Lori lived a life of dedication, service, and love. At the age of 18, she joined the United States Marine Corps, where she served as a nurse and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Lori's commitment to helping others was a hallmark of her life, both in and out of uniform.
Lori was a loving mother, wife, and sister. She is survived by her brother, Christopher Robinson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glen Prater; her son, Nelson Prater; her father, Max Robinson; her mother, Marilyn Robinson; her brother, Jeffrey Robinson; and her sister, Marcelline Turner.
Though she faced tremendous loss, including the heartbreaking passing of her son Nelson, Lori remained a beacon of strength for those who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family will be remembered forever.
A memorial service to celebrate Lori's life will be held at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center on Saturday, October 12th from 10-11 am with a service at 11am. Burial will be at Ste. Philippine Catholic Cemetery immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to a charity of choice.
May she rest in peace, always remembered and loved.
The family invites everyone to join them for a celebration of Lori's life immediately following the burial at Salvatore's Italian Grill - 4145 S. Highway 94 St. Charles, MO 63304.
