Obituary of Lori Susan Snedeker

Lori Susan Snedeker, 67, passed away at her home with her beloved husband by her side.

Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Beverly Brown and the late Clyde Brown. Lori grew up in Northvale, New Jersey, and graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School in 1976.

On June 26, 1986, Lori married her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 39 years, Jeff Snedeker. She began her career as a court stenographer in the State of New Jersey, a role she held for several years. She then embraced her most passionate calling, becoming a mother to her daughters, Hannah and Katie. As a homemaker, Lori poured her heart into raising her family and creating a warm, loving home.

Before starting a family, Lori and her husband loved attending music festivals, concerts, and going on camping trips together. They went to Venice, Florida on many occasions to enjoy the lifestyle of being on the Gulf Coast. They often visited Pepacton Reservoir, where they went boating while Jeff fished and Lori relaxed with her book. Some of Lori's fondest memories were later made during the family's yearly vacations to her favorite lakes, Lake Norman in North Carolina and Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. Her daughters and husband treasure the moments swimming in the lake and sharing stories and laughter.

Lori also loved visiting New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine and had hoped one day to move there with Jeff. She had a passion for music and owned an impressive record collection. While she cherished the music of Jackson Browne, Neil Young and Steely Dan, her love of music was lifelong. She found joy in discovering new artists and sharing her favorite songs, old and new, with her daughters.

Animals held a special place in Lori's heart. She absolutely adored her daughter Katie's Labrador Retriever, Bentley, as well as her own beloved Labrador, Bailey. She also loved her daughter Hannah's sweet cats, Beans and Cannoli.

Lori was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was incredibly strong and a fighter, and through it all she remained a guiding light in our lives. She was always there to support, encourage and love us, while uplifting us with her humor and unwavering positivity. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Snedeker; her daughter Hannah Giglio and her husband Benjamin; her daughter Katie Snedeker; her mother Beverly Brown; and her sister Debbie Guy. She was predeceased by her father, Clyde Brown, and her brother, David Brown.

In accordance with Lori's wishes, a private cremation will be held.
