Obituary of Kathleen Mary Burke

September 23, 1958 – November 18, 2025

With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Kathleen "Kathy" Mary Burke, age 67, announces her passing on November 18, 2025. Kathy was born on September 23, 1958, to John Harry and Phyllis Burke and was raised with faith, family, and strong values at the center of her life.

Kathy grew up in New Jersey and graduated from St. Michael's High School in Jersey City. She spent her working years as a dedicated Data Entry Clerk, where she was known for her reliability, attention to detail, and steady work ethic. Those who worked alongside her will remember her kindness, quiet strength, and loyalty.

A woman with a gentle spirit, Kathy found peace and joy in simple moments. She loved to read, often getting lost in the pages of her favorite books, and she cherished the calming rhythm of knitting-creating with her hands the same way she gave comfort throughout her life: quietly and thoughtfully.

Nothing meant more to Kathy than her family. She was a devoted mother to her son, Kenneth Peter Burke Jr., Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to Liam, Elijah, and Aaliyah McKenna.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Phyllis Burke, her son Kenneth and his fiancée, Kat Lowe, and her beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Diana Kosanovich, Barbara Mocarski and husband Kenneth Mocarski Sr., and John Harry Burke Jr. and wife MaryBeth Burke. Kathy was dearly loved by her five nieces, five nephews, five great-nieces, five great-nephews, Aunts, Uncles and many cousins and lifelong friends. She now joins in eternal peace her father, John Harry Burke Sr., and her brother-in-law, Charles Kosanovich.

Services for Kathy will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Martin Funeral Home, Clinton NJ. To share memories with Kathy's family please visit www.martinfh.com

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Kathy's honor-a meaningful way to continue the compassion and understanding she carried throughout her life.

Kathy will be remembered for her quiet warmth, her gentle heart, and the love she shared so naturally.
