In Loving Memory of Lorraine R. Anaya-Perea

Lorraine R. Anaya-Perea was born on October 22, 1958, in Tajique, New Mexico, to Herman and Amadita (Amy) Anaya. She was a lifelong resident of Estancia, New Mexico, and a former educator with Estancia Municipal Schools.

Lorraine passed away on November 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Amadita (Amy) Anaya, her baby sister Jeanette, and her brother Herman Anaya Jr.

She is survived by her partner Alvin Trujillo; children Larry (Senaida) Anaya and Sarah Vargas; her sisters Jeanette Barela and Polly (James) Conant; her brother Martin (Helen) Anaya; her grandchildren Aaron Jr., Beatrice, Marcos, Samuel, Rebecca, Stephanie, Jayden Vargas, Moises, Alicia, and Olivia Anaya; and her great-grandchildren Aaron III, Giovanni, Aria, and baby girl Evangeline Lorraine on the way; and many Nieces and Nephews.

Lorraine loved butterflies, and she loved to laugh, dance and sing. She loved and adored her family. We love you mom, nana, auntie and sister.

I dreamed I was a butterfly, Soaring high and flying free. The worries of the world below No longer had a hold on me.

My wings were filled with gentle light, My heart was calm and still. I knew that I was safe at last, Within God’s perfect will.
