Lorraine M. Connolly, 77, of Lincroft, NJ, passed away on September 6, 2025. Born in Jamaica, NY, she settled in Lincroft with her husband Patrick, where together they raised their family and built their lives. Lorraine worked as a legal secretary prior to moving to Lincroft and devoting herself to her family and community. She taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) at St. Leo the Great for more than 20 years, was active in the Christian Brothers Academy Mother's Club where she co-chaired the annual craft show for many years.
Lorraine was a loving, selfless, and generous woman who always put others before herself. She never hesitated to help a friend, neighbor, or family member in need, and had a gift for making those around her feel cared for and supported. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, her greatest joy came from being with her grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She is predeceased in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Patrick Connolly; her parents, Charles and Mary Daalder; and her brother-in-law, Stephen Asaro. She is survived by her sons, Brendan (Kathleen) Connolly of Holmdel, NJ, and Timothy (Alison) Connolly of Tinton Falls, NJ; her sister, MaryEllen Daalder-Asaro of Middletown, NJ; her brother, Charles (Mary) Daalder of Tinton Falls, NJ; her aunt, Anne Connolly of Towson, MD; and seven adored grandchildren, Braeden, Molly, Patrick, William, Kelly, Michael, and Kaitlyn. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
Visitation will be held at Pfleger's Funeral Home in Middletown, NJ, on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Church in Lincroft, NJ, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown, NJ.
