Lorraine Eshbach Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dello Russo Funeral Home - Medford on May 17, 2025.
Lorraine E. "Rainey" Eshbach passed away peacefully supported by the love of her family at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington on May 15th. She was 81. A lifelong Medford resident, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (McElwain) Eshbach.
Lorraine was a wonderful aunt, sister and friend. A graduate of the class of 1961 of Medford High School, Rainey had a varied career. As a young woman she worked in administration for Converse Rubber Company for several years. Then she went to work for the Archdiocese of Boston, serving as a chef in church rectories. She also worked at a corner store. A devout Catholic, Lorraine was raised attending Immaculate Conception Church on the Malden/Medford line. As an adult she was active in the former Saint James Church in Medford. Rainey was a very social person and ran the bingo for many years in her apartment building.
Rainey was a dear sister to Charles W. Eshbach and his wife Christine and to Judith Pitasi. She was a loving aunt to Charles W. Eshbach, Jr. and his wife Leisha (Tringali) Christopher J. Pitasi, Alana Chambers, the late John J. Eshbach and many other nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother to her late cat, Jazzy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, May 20 from 11 AM – 1 PM, followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 1 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lorraine's name to the American Heart Association, 93 Worcester St., Wellesley, MA 02487 or to the charity of one's choice.
