Lorraine "Peggy" Mauge, age 57, of Boston, MA passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2022. Peggy was born on September 14, 1965 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and migrated to Boston, MA when she was age 7. Peggy loved to sing from a toddler. Doe a Deer from Sound of Music and To Sir With Love were two of her favorites. She was a happy child who brought love and joy to many, regardless of their age.
Peggy attended St. Joseph Parochial School and then the Braintree Public School System through the METCO Program. She was a brilliant student who earned enough credits to graduate high school in 10th grade. Although loving, she had many challenges as a young adult. She was also a skilled poet and found joy in expressing her life experiences through creative writing.
Peggy loved family events and would attend as many as she could. In the past several years she would call her mom every day, always ending the conversation with, "Mummy, I love you." She loved Caribbean food, especially stewed pork and souse. Her favorite color was blue and she loved designer brands, such as Izod and Ralph Lauren. She was always dressed in these brands with a new pair of Nike sneakers.
To know Peggy is to love Peggy. She always made sure her family was straight regardless if we told her not too she did it anyway.
She leaves to mourn her only daughter, Giovanna; grandson. Ayceon; sisters, Aretha and Courtney; niece Toni; parents, Eileen and Errol; aunts, Olive and Merle (Trinidad); along with cousins in Trinidad, Florida, South Carolina, New York and London and many friends including her Burlington Family
