Lorraine Marie Nassiri

Lorraine Marie Nassiri loving wife, devoted mother and cherished sister, 65 of Cliffside Park passed away peacefully Sunday December 29th at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Elizabeth, Lorraine lived in Ottawa Canada, later moving to Scotch Plains where her and her husband Benyounes raised their two sons.
She is predeceased by her parents Matthew Paul and Norene Marie Raves.
Lorraine is survived by her loving husband Benyounes, her children James Nassiri, Alan Nassiri, her siblings Elizabeth Ann Johnson, Ann Michelle Stempinski and her husband Dennis, Mary Raves, and her grandchildren James Nassiri Jr., Arianna Marie Iris Nassiri and niece Emily Ann Stempinski and Matthew Kevin Stempinski.
Lorraine was a licensed practitioner nurse for many years. After retiring, her and her husband traveled France, Germany, Spain, Morocco, California and Florida. In addition to nurse practitioner Lorraine was also employed as a food server at Scotch wood diner & The United States Post Office as well as the Quick Check deli dept in Scotch Plains. She enjoyed traveling, beaches, swimming, reading cooking, music and dancing and was a very talented artist, she liked board games and playing cards. She enjoyed 5-star dining as well as simplistic foods. She traveled to France, Germany, Spain, Morocco CA and FL and all over NJ & PA. She lived in Ottawa with her husband and 3 yrs after her first-born James they moved to Scotch Plains NJ and 6 yrs later they had Alan their 2nd son and moved to Fanwood NJ. She was a devoted loving, kind, caring, protective mother wife & sister, grandmother and aunt.
Funeral services will be held 10:30am Friday from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home 419 Barclay St., followed by a 11:00am Mass of Resurrection from Most Holy Name of Jesus Church (Holy Trinity) with interment at Forest Green Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Friday 8:30am ~ 10:30am at the funeral home.
