Lorraine is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Norman Small; her loving children Leslie Montes, Mandy Stewart, Tiffany Fetter, and Chelsea Small; her cherished grandchildren Tyler Richter, Dakota Richter, Jayden Cartwright, Mariah Ingram, Savannah Stewart, Josalynn Farley, Logan Farley, and Braun Small; and her precious great-grandchildren Ivy Richter and Iris Richter.
Lorraine's life was defined by her deep love for her family and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and the delicious meals she lovingly prepared-her kugula and banana bread were family favorites that brought everyone together. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the companionship of the many pets she cared for over the years.
She dedicated 25 years of service as a paraprofessional in the Woodhaven School District, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and patience. Lorraine found great joy in her visits to Tennessee, where she spent time with her extended family, and she had a special fondness for classic cars and attending car shows.
Lorraine's legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Lorraine's life will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm at Kernan Funeral Homes - Heritage Chapel, 15748 Fort Street Southgate, MI 48195 with a service to take place at 3:00pm.
