Lorrie Engel Obituary
Lorrie Ann Engel was born on November 21, 1963 to William David and Mary Anna Moomaw. She belonged to Allen Street Baptist Church, having accepted Christ at an early age.
Lorrie married Johnny Jim Engel on October 17, 1980. They had one son, John Kyle Engel. They shared 32 years together.
Lorrie loved the outdoors and could be found fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, gardening or any other outdoor activities with Johnny Jim. Wherever you found one, the other was close by.
Being "Mimi" to her grandchild Cassidy meant the world to her. She loved her "Punky", as she called her.
Lorrie is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Jim, her parents, grandparents, father in law John Engel and mother in law Sandy Engel, 2 brothers in law Shane Engel and Charlie Smarr.
Survivors include her son John Kyle and his significant other, Rachael and her children Gracelynne and Gunner, her granddaughter Cassidy, 2 sisters Brenda Smarr and Christy Foster, numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Pam Gardner.
Lorrie's wishes were to be cremated with a private family burial at Carpenter Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 6:00 PM at 10638 NW Hwy O in Blairstown, Missouri. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lorrie Engel Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
