Lorrie Jean Trost
Age 64, of New Lenox, IL, passed away peacefully on her birthday, Monday, June 2, 2025. Lorrie was born in Joliet, IL to the late Leonard Sr and Elizabeth “Ann” (nee Carlock) Trost.
Beloved sister of Debra (Leo) Pandy, Arthur Trost, Janet (Bruce) Kalcic, Leonard Jr. (Sheila) Trost, Kirk (Theresa) Trost, Thomas (Barbara) Trost, and Barbara Ann Trost in infancy; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Lorrie was a dedicated worker at Central Cleaners for many years, before taking a job with Eagle Foods, and then eventually working at Food 4 Less. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lorrie enjoyed Carribean Cruises with family and friends, listening to music and attending concerts of her favorite artists and especially spending time with her nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, her grandparents Roy and Hazel Trost, and Loyal and Rose Carlock. The Trost family would like to especially thank Lorrie’s Respiratory Therapist Audrey, the Lightways in home care team of Sam, Natalie, Colleen, and Laura, and all the caregivers at the Lightways Hospice home for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lorrie’s name to Lightways Hospice would be appreciated.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10:00 am until Memorial Service at 12:00 pm.
