Lottie Borczak, age 91, of Hesperia, MI formerly of Detroit, MI passed away on September 30, 2025 at her home under Hospice care.
Lottie was born in Detroit, MI on April 4, 1934 to Frank and Frances (Elzbieciak) Moser. During her formative years, Lottie moved with her parents to Cross Village, MI then returned to Detroit at age 16. While living on her own and working at Federal Screw Works, she met Thomas Borczak. They married on October 27, 1956 at St. Frances D'Assissi Catholic Church, Detroit, MI and raised 2 daughters, Cathy and Frann until they retired and moved to Hesperia, MI in 1993. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before Tom's passing in 2019.
Lottie was a homemaker and occasionally worked throughout her life. She especially enjoyed retiring to the country where she discovered new hobbies like gardening, canning, sewing and self-taught crocheting. Anybody that knew Lottie, owned a pair of her crocheted slippers! Her crochet skills were unrivaled and we will cherish her afghans, doilies, "hot pads", fruits and vegetables.
Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, grandson Randy Borczak, siblings Virginia Kokielka, Walter Moser, Bob Mosul and Ed Moser.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Jim) McMican, Frann (Bob) Gilbert, grandchildren, Ally Roberts, Jerith (Kacy) McMican, Shelby Gilbert, great-grandchildren, Rylee Roberts, Piper Roberts, sister Lillian Frasure and Lottie's beloved dog Molly. Also survived by her nephew Tim McClelland and his wife Debbie whom selflessly contributed to the care and well-being of Lottie in recent years.
At her request, her husband Tom's cremains will be interred with her at a private family burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights, MI.
