Lottie "Patricia" Young

Lottie "Patricia" Young, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of Jehovah, peacefully fell asleep in death on July 2, 2025, as she patiently awaits the promised resurrection.
Born on August 27, 1947, in East Orange, New Jersey, Patricia was the cherished daughter of Henry Ellington and Lottie Clemonts. She was raised in East Orange and graduated from East Orange High School in 1965. On October 18, 1969, she married the love of her life, Clifford Young Sr., with whom she shared over five decades of devotion, partnership, and enduring love.
A gifted vocalist, Patricia was a professional singer and a proud member of The Ellington Sisters, a soulful trio that included her sisters Judy and Joan. Her voice, spirit, and presence uplifted many and left a lasting impact on those who heard her sing.
In 1973, Patricia and Clifford joyfully welcomed their son, Clifford Young Jr. Just two years later, on August 8, 1975, Patricia dedicated her life to Jehovah through water baptism - a decision that shaped the rest of her life. Her faith was the cornerstone of her character, and her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:6 - "Do not be anxious over anything " - was one she both lived by and lovingly shared with others.
Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, Clifford Young Sr.; her son, Clifford Young Jr. (affectionately known as Corky); her grandson, Clifford Young III (affectionately known as Tré); and her loving brothers, Dennis Ellington and Barry Ellington. She also leaves behind a host of family, friends, and spiritual brothers and sisters who cherished her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
She now rests in Jehovah's memory, awaiting His call, and her family takes comfort in the promise of the resurrection and the joyful reunion to come.
