Louella "Lupe" Picklesimer, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the evening of Tuesday, March 25, 2025. A devoted Christian, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a faithful member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Harrison, TN. Lupe was deeply involved in her church community, serving in the choir, managing the nursery for over two decades, and teaching the junior girls' Sunday school class.
She retired from TVA after a dedicated career and found great joy in her family and faith. Lupe was preceded in death by her beloved son, Paul Picklesimer, who went to heaven at the age of 15, as well as her parents, William "Bill" Davis and Mildred Davis of Ooltewah, TN.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Picklesimer Sr.; her son, Donnie (Lori) Picklesimer; and their sons, Wade Picklesimer, Andy (Devin) Picklesimer and Logan Picklesimer. She is also survived by her daughter, Karen (Kirk) Steward; and their sons, Matthew (Sarah) Steward and Jacob Steward.
Lupe was a cherished great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren: Jordynn, Colton, Weston, Adalynn, and Brooklynn Steward, and Waylon Picklesimer. She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Linda) Davis, along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Lupe's kindness, unwavering faith, and dedication to her family and church left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but joyfully remembered.
A celebration of Lupe's life will be Monday, March 31, 2025, at Lakewood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00, with services immediately following. Mrs. Lupe will be laid to rest at Harrison Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lakewood Baptist Church building fund in her memory.
