Louis Bellner Obituary
Louis Joseph Bellner, Jr., 76, of Maumee, died February 1, 2024. Louie was born February 16, 1947, in Toledo to the late Louis Sr. and Blanch (Funk) Bellner. He graduated from Maumee High School in 1965 and went on to a more than 25-year career in the advertising department of The Toledo Blade. He later worked as a security guard for over 15 years in Toledo Edison building downtown.
Louie believed deeply in the power of AA and volunteered for more than 30 years with the organization. He was past secretary, treasurer, and president of Chapter 5. In his free time, Louie enjoyed woodworking, ceramics, and was a dog lover. He will be lovingly remembered as a kind, gentle, and understanding soul who was a great brother and uncle.
He is survived by siblings, Philip Bellner, Linda (Phillip) Ditch, and Steve Bellner; nieces and nephews, Dean Bellner, Christina Doss, Leslie Palmer, and Jennifer Farrell; and several great nieces and great nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael; and sister-in-law, Patricia Bellner.
Family and friends are invited to visit in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
Contributions in Louie's name can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

I didn´t know Louie very long I did some work at his house you could tell he was just a good person. Being in recovery myself he was a great guy to hang around with rest in peace and prayers to the family. Ken

Sending my deepest sympathies to my Mom, my Uncle Phil, Uncle Steve and everyone else who cared about my Uncle Joe. He truly was a good man who loved his family and will be remembered by many people for his kindness and tender soul. Forever I will cherish the memories that we have shared.
