Louis J. "Lou" Berti

Louis "Lou" J. Berti, age 92, passed away on Saturday November 2, 2024 at Erie Veteran Affairs Medical Center.
He was born in Force, PA on November 15, 1931 to the late Louis Berti and Rose (Trentini) Berti Black.
Louis served in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany as part of the peace-keeping efforts following the Korean War, and led a unit charged with keeping tanks running. For 42 years he worked at Hallman Chevrolet (formerly Daily's Chevrolet) specializing in truck sales. He retired in 2006.
He was a "jack of all trades": from automotive and plumbing to electrical and landscaping and more, he could fix or do anything if he studied it long enough. He was a Steelers and Pirates fan and a member of the Siebenbuerger Club.
In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his brothers, Victor, Raymond, Carl and Larry Berti; sisters, Virginia "Ginny" Mitchell and Adeline Schell; and grandson, Brian Louis Sullivan.
Louis is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pauline M. (Lipchik) Berti; daughters, Pattie Sullivan (Bruce) and Laurie Camp (Bill); grandchildren, Delaney Camp, Shannon Sullivan and Kyle Sullivan; several nieces and nephews. Louis will also be missed by many friends and family, including brother-in-law, Joseph Lipchik and his family.

Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Ave, 845 E. 38th Street on Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and may attend prayers there on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 509 E. 26th Street.
