Mr. Louis James Cleghorne, 57, of Seymour Road, Bowman, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his residence. 

Louis was born in Royston on July 3, 1966, and had lived most of his life in Bowman. Prior to becoming disabled, he worked in the construction industry as a house framer. He had been a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and Bowman Baptist Church. Louis was a simple man who enjoyed cutting grass, and especially enjoyed riding around on his golf cart. 

Preceded in death by his mother, Omie ‘Juanita’ Peck Kidd, Louis is survived by his father, John Logan Cleghorne of Hull; step-father, Roger Nelson Kidd of Bowman; and daughter, April Nicole Kidd of Bowman. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12, from 2:00-2:45p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Andy Huff will officiate, and burial will be in the Rehoboth Baptist Church cemetery. 

Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
