Louis was born in Yale Kentucky April 5, 1934, to Merl W. Dunfee and Bertha Rose Dunfee.

Louis grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He joined the US Army in 1953 and served until 1956 when he was honorably discharged. He married Patricia Lawson in 1957. They have 4 children: Rick Dunfee (Marcia), Jeff Dunfee (Debbie), Trudy Grubb (Ray), and Terri Wendt. They have 8 grandchildren: Kelly, Madeline, Amie, Melissa, Louis, Patrick, Joshua and Jacob, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Juanita O'Hair and preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Charles Dunfee (Donna).

Louis worked at Dumford Trucking Co. in Middletown for 31 years and belonged to the Teamsters Union. After retirement from trucking, he worked on the cleaning crews at McAlpin's, Dillards and Elder-Beerman at the Towne Mall to stay busy. He retired from working in 2012.

Louis loved to travel and take care of his yard. He loved nice cars and always kept one (pin striping was a must). More importantly, he loved to laugh and didn't know a stranger. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, loved the lord and read his bible diligently.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Baker Stevens Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave, Middletown, OH 45005, from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral service will immediately follow visitation at the funeral home at 12 pm. He will then be laid to rest at Woodside Cemetery.
