Louis S. "Louie" Easthom, 77, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 3:00 am, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his home. He was born on March 16, 1947, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Bernard and Soloma (Wallace) Easthom.
Louie was a 1966 graduate of Symmes Valley High School in Willowood, Ohio. He lived in Willowood until moving to Wabash in 1968. Louie served in the US Air Force. He married Jacqueline K. "Jackie" Schlemmer in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 16, 1980. Louie lived in Las Vegas Nevada from 1983-2001. He worked at Desert Dodge in Las Vegas 19 years, and 15 1/2 years at General Tire in Wabash. He was a member of the South Pleasant United Methodist Church. Louie enjoyed gardening, fishing, especially fly fishing, and raising flowers.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Easthom of Wabash; five children, Jacqueline (Chris) Knipp and Gaberila (Frank) Thomas, both of Ironton, Ohio, Sydney Marie Easthom of Wilmington, North Carolina, David Wilcox and Tom Wilcox, both of Wabash; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Tony Wilcox, five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Michael Sheehan officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-7 pm Friday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Animal Shelter of Wabash County.
