Louis E. Gregor, age 93, of rural Hudson, died at his home on Thursday, July 3, 2025, while under the care of Hospice of Hillsdale County. Born November 5, 1931, to Louis and Sarah (Wolski) Czapski in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating high school Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Frances Mikulski, on October 6, 1956, in New Boston, MI. Together they raised six children and shared over 66 years of memories before her passing on January 2, 2023. Louis worked as a heavy equipment operator for the city of Wayne until his retirement on November 5, 1986. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and hitting some balls on the golf course. Louis's greatest pleasure came from spending time with his children and grandchildren. Louis is survived by two sons, Joseph (Sallie) Gregor, and Kenneth Gregor; four daughters, Sharon (George) Barta, Debra Gregor, Marie (Perry) Stein, and Barbara (Jere) Beltrame; brother, Peter (Patricia) Gregor; sister, Janet (Thomas) Viola; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his wife, Frances; daughter in law, Julie; brother, Robert; sisters, Theresa and Grace; and his parents. Visitation for Louis will be held at the Marry Funeral Home, Hudson, on Thursday, July 10, 2025 beginning at 4:00 p.m. and concluding with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated by Father Todd Koenigsknecht on Friday, July 11, 2025. at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation beginning one hour prior. Rite of Committal will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Hudson. Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Church. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.marryfh.com. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Marry Funeral Home, Hudson.
