With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, Louis D. Leishman. Dad passed on September 1, 2025, in Syracuse, Utah.
He was born to Seth P. and Radah Frank Leishman in Wellsville, Utah, on March 5, 1936. Dad joined the army at the age of 17. He received his GED while he was enlisted.
Upon returning home he joined the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. Completing 4 years of apprenticeship schooling. He worked many years with the union and made many lasting friendships. He went on to become the Business Agent for the local #348. He began traveling working for different companies in construction management positions. He worked for Boeing during the development of the 777-passenger jet.
Dad and Judy lived in Mesquite, NV and later moved to Beaver Dam, AZ, enjoying the winter months golfing and spending time with the many friends they met.
Dad is survived by his two daughters, Debbie (Tony) Reiva and Vickie (Jerry) Ware; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Ellen, Gwen, Nina, and Julie; and brother, Paul.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Leishman; daughter, Sonja Aguirre; grandson, Dave Revia; his parents; brother, Elmo; sister, Janice; and stepdaughter, Danelle.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Servies entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
