Louis Peter Reina, a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on June 28, 1934, to Carlo Reina and Josephine Battaglia, Louis carried with him a deep respect for family, heritage, and hard work throughout his long and meaningful life.
Louis was preceded in death by his beloved siblings: Sam (Lena), Joe (Rose), Mary (Al), and Phil (Sharon), as well as his cherished daughter, Rhuann Bauer, and granddaughter, Karra Bauer. Though he experienced the heartache of loss, Louis remained a pillar of strength, love, and guidance to his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucie Reina (nee Bussman), loving children: Renae (Rich) Boswell, and their children: Mark Wilkerson, Dustin Boswell, and Justin Boswell; Steven (Nicole) Billyard, and their children: Alyssa (with partner Max), Zachary (Brittany), Ashly (Mike Larson), Nick Hertzmann, and Jaclyn (Phil Carroccio); Beth (Ray) Galloway, and their children: Andrew (Cassidy) McGlone, Amanda (with fiancé Cyrus), Adam McGlone, and Keegan Daly; and Louis (Jennifer) Reina, Jr., and their children: Gavin and Josephine Reina.
Louis also leaves behind a legacy through his great-grandchildren: Jayden, Morgan, Allie, Christian, Lillian, Liam, Nathan, Gia, and Francesca, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Louis' Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., located at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium, 530 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440.
