Louis Wayne Reno, 86, of Atchison, KS, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Atchison Senior Village, Atchison, KS.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 5, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Jacob Dandy officiating with burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, MO. Memorials are suggested to Atchison Kids Wrestling or Atchison YMCA Flyers and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.
Wayne was born April 9, 1939, in Atchison, KS, the son of Louis A. and Mildred (Ratherty) Reno. He graduated from Atchison High School and then served in the United State Navy. Wayne worked security for various places, AT&T, Harley and Guards Mark. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as an Elder and usher. Wayne enjoyed umpiring and coaching women's softball for the Atchison Recreation. He was an Oklahoma Sooners fan, and enjoyed watching football, fishing and being with his grandkids.
Wayne married Brenda Sue OyLear on May 28, 1994, she preceded him on December 3, 1995. Survivors include daughters, Tyra and Chuck Pickman, Atchison, KS, Laura and Bill Stich, Columbia, MO, Raquel and John Klahr, Tulsa, OK, sons, Derrick Reno, Las Vegas, NV, Brian and Renae Handke, Muscotah, KS, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren. He was also preceded by his parents, a son Kirk Reno and a brother Gary Reno.
