Louis Wilfred Tenace, 81, of Pattersonville, NY, husband of the late Sharon Tenace, passed away Saturday, December 7th, at Winn Hospital in Utica, NY surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 6, 1944 in Colonie, NY to the late Louis and Marion Tenace. Louis graduated from Colonie High School before going on to serve in the United States Air Force. He later worked as a Machinist for General Electric. He was a quiet and dedicated husband and father. In his spare time, he liked to garden and work on his trucks. He was interested in coins, and he would feed the birds and the squirrels that would visit him in his garage. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Malcolm.
He is survived by his daughter, Libby and husband, Larry Conboy of Schenectady, NY; son, Louis Tenace and Lisa Wolicki of Hamilton, NY, son, Mark and wife, Michelle Tenace of Schenectady, NY; his grandchildren, Molly Tenace, Jonathan Tenace, Adelaide Tenace, Aaron Tenace, Renee Tenace, and Caelen Tenace; as well as sisters, Arlene Strain, June and husband, Nick Ronca and Virginia Tenace Guild.
In addition to his wife, Sharon Tenace he was predeceased by his son, Richard Tenace, and sister Louann Freitag.
Friends and family may visit on Friday, December 12 from 10am to 12pm at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. Burial immediately following in Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery.
