Louise Bell
Skyline Community- Louise Bell, age 94, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born on September 10, 1931, to Mary Pauline Studdard Rogers and James Odell Rogers.
She was a faithful member of Skyline Baptist Church. She attended Lakeview Baptist when her children were young. She was incredibly hard working, even doing housework, such as sweeping and mopping, at 94 years old. She often said, “I’m not a sitter” in reference to being told to rest in her old age. An avid shopper, she loved attending the auction with her daughter, Peggy.
She is survived by her children, Shawn Bell and his wife, Neisha, Randy Bell and his wife, Reba, Becky Hood and her boyfriend, Bill Johnson, Debbie Turner and her husband, Roy, and Peggy Horton and her fiancé, Marty James; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; a host of other family; and special furry friend, Pixie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hoyle; parents, James Odell and Mary Pauline Rogers; children, James Michael Bell, Pamela Kay Barnett; great-grandchildren, Haydn Hood and Jessica Marcy; sister, Patsy Sappington; and brothers, James Rogers and Lamar Rogers.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Mr. Roy Turner speaking. Burial will follow at Gilvo Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Hood, Timmy Hood, Blake Hood, Brett Bell, Austin Bell, and Thomas Barnett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Hood, Cody Marcy, Riley Hood, Dustin Hood, Cary Horton, Gary Horton, and Mark Horton.
