Louise Beverly Brower, nee O'Connor
1939-2024
Louise Beverly Brower, 85, formerly of Asbury Park, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024. Louise was born in Newport, Rhode Island on June 14, 1939 to Edward Benjamin O'Connor and Angelina Ann Carriero. Her early years were spent in Jersey City, NJ before moving to South Jersey. Louise married Richard Edward Brower, a WWII veteran, in 1963 at the First Baptist Church in Washington Township, NJ. Richard passed away in 1986.
Louise loved all animals, but especially cats. She was also crazy about Elvis and often impersonated him by playing her guitar and singing his famous songs. Louise even had her very own Elvis costume she would wear for these performances for her friends. When she was 17, her parents took her to the opening night of Elvis' first movie "Love Me Tender" at the Paramount Theater in New York City.
Louise was pleasant and delightful and loved by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents and her only sibling, Dorothy Carol O'Connor Simmons in 2020. She is survived by her son, Eric R. Brower (Linda), three grandchildren, Eric, Melissa, and Tiffany, and seven great grandchildren.
Louise will be buried with her husband at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, N.J. Donations in Louise's name to the Monmouth County SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
