Louise Greene Dupree, age 90, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Lathem, Rev. Nathan Smith and Rev. Shane Poole officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 8th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home.
Louise was born in Cherokee County and graduated Class of 1948 from Canton High School. She was a hard worker and farmed most of her life. Louise was a faithful member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and most of all she loved spending time and caring for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Dupree; daughter, Brenda Louise Dupree; parents, Amos and Bessie Greene; siblings, Mary Susie Greene, Amos Parlon Greene (Thelma) and Odelle Nations (Monroe); survivors include her two daughters, Faye Coletta (Mike) and Kaye Loggins (David); seven grandchildren, Robert Martin (Angie), Michael Martin (Kim), Wesley Martin (Heather), Alex Loggins, Keith Loggins (Lauren), Sarah Coletta Flynn (Ryan) and Patrick Coletta (Lisa); eighteen great-grandchildren, Jacob Martin, Jillian Martin, Josiah Martin, Jesse Martin, Justin Martin, Zachery Martin, Christopher Martin, Kateline Martin, Marissa Martin, Jack Martin, Daniel Cohen, Beth Cohen Salto, Hannah Martin, Eli Martin, Tyler Martin, Sawyer Martin, Charlotte Coletta, and Isabella Coletta; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robby Martin, Michael Martin, Wesley Martin, David Loggins, Alex Loggins and Keith Loggins.
The family request no food be brought to the funeral home.
