Louise Schleppi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Home - Columbus on Aug. 2, 2024.
Louise Ann Schleppi passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 11, 2024. She was born June 17, 1939, to Herbert and Mamie Watkins in Eccles, West Virginia.
Louise lived happily with her husband, Robert Schleppi (deceased), until her death. She proudly led a healthy life and enjoyed tending to her garden, which she loved to share with friends and neighbors. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the joys of her life.
Preceding Louise in death were her parents; her siblings Robert Watkins, Herbert Watkins, Tracy Watkins, Mona Piotrowski, and Norma Tevlin; and her sons-in-law, Vernon Edwards and Pete Bydlik.
Louise is survived by her son, Billy Aliff (Laura) of Bridgeport, WV, and their children, Natalie (Aliff) Foley (Brendan) of Huntsville, TX, and Stacie Ann Aliff (Nick Dawkins) of Bridgeport, WV; her daughter Kim (Aliff) Spann (Bruce) Ranger, GA, and her son, Joseph Edwards (Courtney) of Ranger, GA; and her daughter Terry Bydlik of Orlando, FL, and her sons Chris Bydlik (Cristal) of Orlando, FL, and Tim Bydlik (Alexis) of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren (Reid Foley, Charleston Edwards, Christopher-Noah Bydlik, and Celeste Bydlik); step-daughter Kim Tebo (Don) of Ostrander, OH, and their children Ashley Reger (Ben) of Delaware, OH, and Beth Tebo of Columbus, OH; step-son Richard Schleppi (Paula) of Ashville, OH, and their daughter Christina Schleppi (Steve Dwyer) of Columbus, OH; and step-great grandson Benjamin Wheeler. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Louise graduated from Collins High School in Oak Hill, West Virginia, in 1958. She was a retired kindergarten teacher's aide in Fayette County and was an avid bowler for many years, where she participated in many leagues, including traveling leagues.
While she was proud of her West Virginia roots, she also enjoyed living in the Columbus, Ohio, area for over three decades. Louise loved spending time with her husband, Bob, and their many friends in the area. She was well-known for her Christmas-time treats and, according to her grandkids, made the best buckeyes in the world.
Louise will truly be missed by her family and friends, but she lived a fun and healthy life. She brought spunk to any room she entered and loved her family and friends fiercely.
A private memorial service will be held with family at a later date.

Louise was married to Bob Schleppi. Bob was a graduate of Groveport High School, Class of 1960. Bob and "Lou" gathered with or classmates each month. We all will miss them, but they left us with great memories. Sincere sympathy to their families.
