Robert L. Schleppi born May 8, 1942, of Canal Winchester, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 11, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his father Herman Schleppi, mother Jane (Hudson Schleppi) Rhoades, brother Edwin Schleppi, and sister-in-law Jean Schleppi.
He was survived by his wife Louise Schleppi, daughter Kimberly (Donald) Tebo of Ostrander, Richard (Paula) Schleppi of Ashville, grandchildren Ashley (Ben) Reger of Delaware, Christina (Steve Dwyer) Schleppi of Columbus, and Beth Tebo of Columbus. Great grandson Benjamin Wheeler. Step-children Billy (Laura) Aliff of Bridgeport, WV, Kim (Bruce) Spann of Ranger, GA and Terry (Pete) Bydlik of Orando, FL. Step-grandchildren Natalie (Brendan) Foley of Huntsville, TX, Stacie (Nick) Aliff of Bridgeport, WV, Joseph (Courtney) Edwards of Ranger, GA, Chris (Cristal) Bydlik of Orlando, FL, and Tim (Alexis) Bydlik of Jacksonville, FL. Step-great-grandchildren Reid Foley, Charleston Edwards, Christopher Bydlik, and Celeste Bydlik.
He was a graduate of Groveport Madison High School... he was a US Veteran... most of his life he was self-employed owning a Union 76 gas station in Groveport and Bob's Hauling and Excavating for more than 30 years... he was a member of the Columbus Maennerchor and the Swiss Club.
Evans Funeral Home of Columbus served the family with cremation and burial services. Interment was at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, OH. There are no services.
