Lourdes Anette Waldorf

Lourdes Waldorf passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children and spouse in Austin, TX on Tuesday November 4, 2025 at the age of 67.
The world received a special soul on September 19, 1958. Lourdes was born in the city of Allentown, Pennsylvania to Julio and Virginia Rivera.
Growing up she was the middle child of eight siblings. Nilsa, Sondra, Julio, Charlie, David, Grace and Sarita. They were always great protectors and companions for her. Later in life she grew a special bond with their children and grandchildren. A very beloved sister and Titi.
She graduated from William Allen High School in 1977. From there moved to New York where she converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and met her future husband Richard. They were married October 27, 1984 and shared 41 years together raising a family.
Lourdes loved being a homemaker. Her greatest joy was being a Mom and "Mita" to her grandkids. The home she made was always warm and inviting. She also devoted time in the church. She served in many positions her favorites being Relief Society President that looks after the women in the congregation and Primary President that looks after the kids ages 3 to 10 in the congregation. She had a special place in her heart for kids and many considered her a second Mom.
Her hobbies were very much centered around creating memories and making others feel cared for. She accomplished this through decorating, hosting celebrations and finding the perfect gift or treat for her loved ones. She loved "spoiling her grandkids". Lourdes had a beautiful alto singing voice. Her children have favorite memories hearing her and their Dad harmonize together or her singing to them when needing comfort.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard, her five children Rachel, Sarita, Robert, Seth, and Jennifer. Her eight grandchildren, Michelle, Scarlett, Boleyn, Arwen, Oliver, Belle, Henry and Kyree.
She is predeceased by her parents Virginia and Julio Rivera and her two grandchildren Logan and Audrey Clermont.
