Lovely Louise Banks

Mrs. Lovely Louise Banks, 93, formerly of Dial Road, Nellysford, Virginia, died Sunday, January 25, 2009, at the Lovingston Health Care Center in Lovingston, Virginia, at 11:05 a.m.

She was born May 16, 1915, in Faber, the daughter of the late Robert and Mamie Dawson Simpson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Banks; her parents, and a son, Paul Banks.

Surviving relatives include three sons, robert Banks and his wife, Orde, of Providence, Rhode Island, the Reverend William Henry Banks and his wife, Melinda, and Guy Otto Banks Banks and his wife, Debbie, all of Waynesboro; three daughters, Virginia Harris and Mamie Banks, both of Charlottesville, and Theresa Banks of Faber, Virginia; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

She was the last one of her immediate family.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009, at the Elk Hill Baptist Church in Wintergreen, Virginia. The Reverend Henry Banks will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Gleenwood Morgan. Burial will be at the church cemetery. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

The service has been entrusted to the Lewis Funeral Home. The family will leave the Lewis Funeral Home at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009.
