Lowell "Spud" Steele

Lowell "Spud" Steele age 88 of Pikeville, passed from this life Sunday February 18, 2024 at his residence. He was born November 26,1935 at Honaker, Kentucky the son of the late Jim and Martha Hamilton Steele. "Spud" was retired from the Kentucky-West Virginia Gas Company, a member and a Past Master of the Thomas C. Cecil Lodge # 375, a member of the El Hasa Shrine and he was a member of the Church of Christ.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lackie O'Brien and his brother, Clifton Steele.
"Spud" is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Hamilton Steele, his son Joe Harrison (April) Steele of Prestonsburg, one grandchild, Elam Hunter (Alainna) Brown, two great grandchildren, Asher Brown and Adeline Brown and a special nephew and caregiver, Johnny O'Brien. He is also survived by his friends and buddies at Roger's gun and pawn shop.
Serving as Pallbearers will be, Mike Jordon, David Green, Jordon Tackett, Derek Tackett, James Williamson and Oliver Williamson.
Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Monday February 19, 2024 with Masonic services beginning at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Albon Meade officiating.
Burial will follow in Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel, Kentucky
