Loyal Vanderpool Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 5, 2025.
Loyal Dale Vanderpool was born on July 19, 1940, and passed from this life on November 2, 2025.
Loyal found his greatest happiness in nature, whether he was fishing from his boat, tending his land, growing vegetables, or feeding the many birds that visited his yard.
Every morning, he made it a routine to rise early and throw bread to the birds. The feel of soil in his hands, the peace of being on the water, and the sound of birdsong brought him joy and contentment.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Loyal began doing drywall work at a young age and eventually built his own successful company, which he proudly ran for more than 50 years. He valued the independence of working for himself and took great pride in maintaining the high standards of quality he believed in.
Loyal deeply loved spending time with his grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride in his life. During football season, he could always be found cheering for his favorite teams, and when basketball season arrived, he rarely missed an Oklahoma City Thunder game.
A lifelong car enthusiast, Loyal took special pride in his pristine 1957 Ford Fairlane, built by his son, and he kept his 2007 Avalanche in excellent condition, both running smoothly and shining clean.
Loyal loved his wife, Mary, with all his heart and cherished the many years they shared together until her passing in 2024. His most loyal companions in recent years were his beloved Pomeranians, who were always by his side.
Loyal is survived by his sons Tim Vanderpool and wife Kaye, and Rick Vanderpool and wife Renee; grandchildren, Dustin, Cody, Brandon, and Jessica; and great-grandchildren Mason, Katelyn, Brittany, and Theodore. He is also survived by his sister, Vivian Cook.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Vanderpool; his parents; his son, Jerry Vanderpool; and his grandchild, Rashan Vanderpool.
