Loyd Wilburn Wilson, 84, a resident of Pearland, TX since 1973. He was born on August 12th, 1941, to Neita and Varney Wilson in Houston, TX.

He attended C.E. King High School and played as a center on football team. He married his high school sweetheart, Laura L. Striegler on July 30, 1960, remaining married for 65 & 1/2 years until his passing, December 28, 2025, surrounded by his family.

After high school, he built his career in the family business, Striegler Sterilizer and grew the company, to ownership of Striegler Medical. Throughout his life he was a medical technician, entrepreneur, designer, inventor, restaurateur and property developer

He had a life of service in his Christian life as a deacon, Sunday School Director and cofounder of the Wilson Shoe Fund which continues to benefit the Central Texas Children's Home. Socially, he was a member of Masonic Brotherhood as a Mason, Shriner & Knights Templar.

Loyd is preceded in death by his parents, Neita Kelly and Varney Wilson, his sisters Diana Carter and Janice Haven; and his daughter Neita Felty (Tim).

He is survived by his wife, Laura Wilson; and their daughters, Sondra Reese (Robert), Lauretta Heidorn (Michael), and Dyanna Wilson; his grandchildren, Jason French (Ashley), Shannon Adair (Kenneth), Major R. Michael Reese, Jr. (Sarah), Tiffany Dammann (Austin), Blake Felty, and Evangeline Wilson. Loyd is also survived by his 10 great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St., Pearland, TX 77581. With Dr. Parker Sanderson officiating. A burial to follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Central Texas Children's Home in Buda, TX.

Loyd, will be really missed by so many. He was a super nice guy & a wonderful friend. Loyd was willing to lend a helping hand where ever he was needed. RIP my Friend.
