In Loving Memory of "Luaitaua Afemata Sila"
"Forever loved, never forgotten."

A Life of Faith, Strength, and Love
With love and heartfelt appreciation for her life, the family of Luaitaua Afemata Sila joyfully celebrates her journey and passing on October 27, 2025, in West Jordan, Utah, surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren by her side.
Luaitaua was born on May 5, 1943, in Alao, American Samoa, where her humble beginnings shaped her into the loving, faithful, and hardworking woman she became. She came from a big and loving family, blessed with eight brothers and three sisters. Growing up in a large family helped instill in her a deep sense of love, unity, and care for others - values she carried throughout her life.
She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where her faith, service, and kindness touched everyone she met.
A woman of grace, humility, and quiet strength, Luaitaua raised three daughters - Segia (married to Paulo), Situi, and Maxine (married to Kevin) - as a single mother. Through her unwavering faith and determination, she provided love, stability, and guidance for her family. Her strength was unmatched, and she led by example - teaching her daughters the values of hard work, respect, and unconditional love.
Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to eight grandchildren: Lanu (married to Mike), Christopher (married to Yas), Jeremiah, Asolupe, Austin, David, Kevin, and Chancellor.
She always took time to celebrate her grandkids' milestones - whether it be birthdays, church, or school - inspiring a lifelong love of learning and growth. She was deeply invested in their future, empowering them to become the best versions of themselves.
Luaitaua's life was a reflection of faith and family. She found joy in the simple things - laughter, togetherness, and serving others. She was always there for her immediate family as well as her extended family, offering love, wisdom, and support whenever it was needed. Though we mourn her passing, we rejoice knowing she has returned home to our
Heavenly Father, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Her love and example will remain a light to her family for generations to come.
Forever in Our Hearts
Until we meet again, Mom - your love and light will continue to guide us. We Love and Miss You Very Much.
