Lydell Lloyd Sila, 51, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at a local hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel (1801 Morningside Ave) with a Graveside service at 3:15pm at Mount Hope Cemetery in West Point, Nebraska.
Lydell was born on July 19, 1974, to Lloyd and Janell (Schroeder) Sila in West Point, Nebraska. He used to carry the shopper guide and the Sioux City Journal to help his mom.
Lydell worked at HyVee and as a caregiver at 4 Seasons Home Care. Lydell was Lutheran.
He is survived by his mother, Janell Sila; grandmother, Charlene Schroeder; uncle, Jerel Schroeder; his family, Julie and Steve at Wynet, Karen and Rudy, Kristy and Aaron, and Kelly Schoreder, all of Omaha; as well as two nieces and one nephew.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Lloyd; stepsister; grandfather; and twin second cousins.
