LuAnn Cheri Obituary
LuAnn "Lu" Cheri, 59, of Rome, passed away on June 6, 2024.
She was born in Rome, NY, on September 21, 1964. LuAnn graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1982. LuAnn worked at many places over the years, especially Acchino's Auto Body and Rome Savings Bank. LuAnn was an avid bowler and bocce player. In 1989, her team won the World Series of Bocce.
Surviving are two daughters, Giana and Aryanna Cheri; sister, CarolAnn (Michael) Sweet; and niece and nephews, Chris (Jennifer) Sweet, Amie (Ryan) Fleming and Josh (Katie) Sweet. There's a special remembrance for her canine companion, Bear.
She was predeceased by her mother, Vicki Ortolano.
Funeral Services are private. There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions, in LuAnn's name, may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: Service Center, PO 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.

Oh my Pretty LuLu...my heart is broken. So many special times and memories...too many to count! But always a special friend who was there anytime I needed you and this being after all the years of bowling with my family. I've missed you and it sucks we havent been able to see each other in so long but I love you and hold a special place in my heart for your girls Say hi to my mom and dad for me and get those bowling and bocce leagues set up so we have something to do when we all meet up again. May you rest in peace my love
