Lucas Rene' Abbott, 35, of Palmyra, TN passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2023. He was born January 14, 1988 at Andrews Air Force Base, MD to James L. Abbott and Annette Moeser Abbott. He attended West Lake High School in Waldorf, MD. Lucas was very passionate about cooking. He played the saxophone in high school. Lucas also enjoyed skateboarding. He enjoyed spending time drawing.
Lucas is survived by his loving parents James L. Abbott and Alison (step-mother) along with his Step-siblings Jimmy, Julie and Jeff. His mother Annette (Gigi) Moeser Abbott along with his siblings; Maria Petika, and Courtney (Corbin) Abbott. He was a much beloved son, nephew, godfather, uncle and cousin. Lucas has many Aunts and Uncles and lots of cousins. Jim's brothers; James Glasscock, George Bishop and sisters; Jeannie O'Reilly and Nancy Stark. Cousins; Angelique, Arael, Harley and James. Annette's family - brother; Bill (Vicky) Moeser, cousins; Melanie, Mitchell, Valerie, Stuart, Karl (Deb) Moeser, Karl Jr., Melissa, and Allison. Kevin Moeser and Quentin Moeser and his daughter Marasigan. Sisters Phylis (Terry) Moeser-Oatsvall, cousins Stacy, Mary, Jeffrey and Sandra. Beverly (Ed Broeffle Two-Rivers) cousins Quentin, Annabelle, Nadine and George. His nephews, Robert Jernigan, Deangelo Jernigan, Devonte Jernigan, Jayon Jernigan, and nieces, Gabriella and Catalina Petika, and other loving relatives and friends.
Lucas is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Abbott and Lous Bishop and his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Annabelle Moeser, Brother Arron Michael Teacher, Uncle; Michael Leon Moeser. Cousins; Michael Eugene Broffle Two-Rivers and David Luke Emmerling.
Funeral services will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
