I just watched your documentary today on Amazon prime. So well done but made me cry. My son died suddenly in his sleep at the age of 37. Know you are not alone in your loss of a child. “On New Year’s Day 2004 our lives were changed forever more.” “ A heart attack took you away on a dark and gloomy New Year’s Day, but out faith in God will get us through knowing we will meet again with you.”
I am Praying for you. Watching the documentary, I felt as if I knew Lucas.

Greetings, thank you for you wonderful documentary that I just watched on our local pbs station here in fairbanks. I was born and raised in Fairbanks and have spent much time at our family gold camp out on the steese highway. I had always wanted to spend a whole year out there but it never happened that way. It was very sweet watching your family thru the year in the early 90's. It was a very special thing what you did and a gift to the rest of us to be able to see the films you diligently created and produced. I was however, so saddened to see at the end of the film, that you lost your lovely son, Lukas a few years ago and I wanted to say how sorry I was to hear that. I found this site on the internet and have no idea if you will see this note. Please accept my condolences for your great loss, but I do hope the memories you all made together then bring you much comfort now.
Sincerely,
Janine Thibedeau
