Lucas Elijah Weitzel

Lucas Elijah Weitzel, 21, of Richland Center died on Friday, August 1, 2025, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born on December 5, 2003, in Madison the third of seven children of John and Tara (Dary) Weitzel. Lucas attended Ithaca High School and was active in football and wrestling, graduating in 2022. He worked at Heartland Christmas Trees for over 10 years. After graduation Lucas worked for Falk Concrete and Garage Door Express. He was an avid reader, he enjoyed working with his hands and was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. Lucas's true pride was his daughters Myah and Lilah.

Lucas is survived by his daughters: Myah and Lilah;

Parents: John and Tara Weitzel of Richland Center;

Grandparents: Roy and Dawn Berndt of Richland Center;

Dennis Dary of Richland Center;

Six brothers and sisters: Taylor (Marshall Jacklin) Weitzel of Rapid City, SD,

Sterling (Maddie Rabideau) Weitzel of Winona, MN,

Katarina (Logan Tonstad) Weitzel of Spring Green,

Ruthie Weitzel, Rebekah Weitzel and John Weitzel all of Richland Center;

Great-grandmother: Amy Klingaman of Rockbridge;

Mother of his children Olivia Cory of Sextonville;

Special aunt Stephanie Dary of Richland Center;

Many aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.

Lucas was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Linda Weitzel, great-grandmother Jean Dary, great-grandmother Ruth Morse, and great-grandfather Ralph Klingaman, great-grandfather Dale Berndt.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for his daughter's education.
