Lucía Flores Casillas "Nana Chia", de 91 años, residente de Columbus, falleció el domingo 1 de diciembre de 2024 en su residencia rodeada de su familia.
La visitacion sera el viernes 6 de diciembre de 2024 a las 2 de la tarde en la Capilla de la Funeraria Baca's, donde el rezo del Santo Rosario comenzará a las 6 de la tarde. El sabado 7 de diciembre, 2024 abra una visitacion a las 10 de la mañana en la Mision Catolica Sagrada Familia en Columbus y despues sera la Misa de cuerpo presente a la 1 de la tarde, el entierro seguirá en el Cementerio Valley Heights. Oficiará el padre Rubén Romero.
Lucía nació en Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, hija de María Varela y Enrique Flores. Fue residente de Columbus durante 30 años. Lucía o "Nana Chia" como era conocida por muchos, le encantaba viajar, ir a fiestas y tener a su familia reunida para cualquier ocasión. Le echaremos mucho de menos.
Le sobreviven sus hijos; Fernando (Lilia) Casillas y Alberto (Mirna) Casillas, hijas; Aurora Durán, María Elena (Luis) Jacquez, Isabel (Roberto) Gutiérrez, Dora (Enrique) Escalante, Guadalupe Parra, Juana Carreón (Oscar Flores) y Ana (Francisco) Palacios, 42 nietos, 97 bisnietos, 19 tataranietos, hermanas; Francisca Hernández y Manuela Flores.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; Maria Varela y Enrique Flores, esposo; Alberto Casillas, hijo; Luis Casillas, nieto; Efrén Carreón, bisnieta; Annalisa Carreon, yernos; Efren Carreon y Francisco Parra, hermanas; Mariana Quintana, Domitila Gutierrez, Consuelo "Chelo" Hernandez y Maruca Flores; hermano; Concepcion "Chon" Flores.
Los portadores del féretro serán: Blas Gutiérrez, Oscar Jacquez, Gabriel Durán, José Escalante, Estevan Carreón, Héctor Gurola, Luis Casillas y Joseph Ibis Casillas, portadores honorarios seran sus nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos.
Lucia Flores Casillas "Nana Chia", 91, Columbus resident passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Visitation will take place Friday, December 6, 2024 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Baca's Funeral Chapel where recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6 o'clock in the evening. There will be a visitation at Holy Family Catholic Mission Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10 o'clock in the morning with the mass of Christian Burial at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, interment to follow at Valley Heights Cemetery. Father Ruben Romero will be officiating.
Lucia was born in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua to Maria Varela and Enrique Flores. She was a Columbus resident for 30 years. Lucia or "Nana Chia" how she was known by many, loved to travel, go to parties and have her family together for any occasion. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons; Fernando (Lilia) Casillas and Alberto (Mirna) Casillas, daughters; Aurora Duran, Maria Elena (Luis) Jacquez, Isabel (Roberto) Gutierrez, Dora (Enrique) Escalante, Guadalupe Parra, Juana Carreon (Oscar Flores) and Ana (Francisco) Palacios, 42 grandchildren, 97 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-children, sisters; Francisca Hernandez and Manuela Flores.
Preceded in death by her parents; Maria Varela & Enrique Flores, husband; Alberto Casillas, son; Luis Casillas, grandson; Efren Carreon, son-in-laws; Efren Carreon & Francisco Parra, siblings; Mariana Quintana, Domitila Gutierrez, Consuelo "Chelo" Hernandez, Maruca Flores & Concepcion "Chon" Flores.
Pallbearers will be: Blas Gutierrez, Oscar Jacquez, Gabriel Duran, Jose Escalante, Estevan Carreon, Hector Gurola, Luis Casillas and Joseph Ibis Casillas. Honorary pallbeares will be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
