Clinton-Lucia (Piccininni) Facendola, 93, passed peacefully at Penacook Place Nursing Home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Giovanni Facendola. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Philip Facendola & Katherine, Francesco "Frank" Facendola & Elisabetta, Nicola "Nick" Facendola & JoAnne, Giuseppe "Joe" Facendola & Debra, and Maria (Facendola) O'Leary & Dennis; siblings: Ana Santacroce, Giuseppe Piccininni, Luigi Piccininni, Ninetta Clemente, and Rina Patella; grandchildren: Giovanni, Nicola, Roberto, Joseph, Laura, John, Warren, Patrick, Philip, Michael, Eileen, Jennifer, and Jacqueline; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She is pre-deceased by siblings: Filipo Piccininni, Nicola Piccininni, Maria Cascione, Chiara Menzulli, Carlo Piccininni, and Bartolo Piccininni; and granddaughter Virginia.
Daughter of the late Francesco & Theresa (Cicimarra) Piccininni, Lucia was born and raised in Altamura, Italy. She met her husband Giovanni, and in 1968 they moved to Clinton with their five children. Lucia enjoyed gardening, playing cards, knitting, and to travel. She was a great cook who loved nothing more than to host dinners, and gather her family and friends to enjoy a home cooked meal. She was strong and generous, with a compassionate heart, and treasured family and friends above all.
Calling hours will be held from 5 until 7PM on Thursday, September 11, 2025 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Friday, September 12, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton, with burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lucia Facendola to: St. John the Evangelist Church - Restoration Fund, 80 Union St., Clinton, MA, 01510.
