Beloved Lucia "Ruby" Rodriguez was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico on November 28, 1959. Her parents, rest their souls were, Geronima Ramos and Juan Rodriguez. They had four children in their marriage, 3 sons and one daughter in order of birth: Noel Rodriguez, Octavio Rodriguez, Luis Rodríguez, and Lucythe baby girl.
She married Josue Garcia and they had 4 roses. Damaris the 1st rose married Seneca Christel, they had three children: Heaven Aaliyah, Armani Seneca and Isaiah Josué Christiel. Nydia Iris, the second rose married Alfonso Franco and had three children: Josue Enriquez, Jaciel Enriquez and Jezequiel Enriquez Franco. Iveliz the third rose married Jerry Tracy and they have three children: Neo David Correa, Jenova Tifa Correa, and Breana Iveliz Tracy. Cristina is the last rose with four children: Yacelyn Marie Mendez, Jonathan Xavier Acevedo, Angel Luis Mendez, Klanni Lucia Garcia.
Lucia was a beloved great-grandmother of Triniti Violet Correa, daughter of Neo Correa, Anthony Xavier Benitez Mendez son of Yacelyn & Anthony Benitez, Gabriel Frankie Soria son of Jenova Correa, and Josue Enriquez Franco Jr., son of Josue Enriquez Franco.
Lucia was happily remarried to her King Juan Humberto Aponte.
She was a very loved spacial eduction teacher at Richard Yates Elementary School and recently retired due to her declining health.
She was a pentecostal Christian, a strong single mother, determined, and a very given person even when she didn't have much to give. Lucia departed on May 16, 2022, leaving us with a legacy of unselfishness and love. She left us to be with the Lord and with her recently departed mother and father. As the heavens rejoice for her arrival, we grieve her absence but we hold on to the day we are reunited with Jesus and our heavenly father.
