Lucia Walrath 82, of GREENVILLE, SC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Born on May 16, 1943 to Rose and John Walrath, Lucia always had a great love and pride for her family. She was a graduate of Nazareth College with her Masters in Science and continued her teaching certifications in the State of NY. Lucia started her teaching career at Good Counsel and spent much of her career in the Rochester Public School system. Lucia was a strong advocate for her students to ensure they were provided a good education and was respected for her dedication to her students.
Lucia was a music and art enthusiast and enjoyed many a day playing the piano serenading her family and friends. In addition to spending time with family, she enjoyed alone time on the beach, working on difficult crosswords, gardening and driving fast cars.
Lucia was survived by her brothers Jerry Walrath (Sandi), Sam Walrath (Pam), Joe Walrath, Chris Walrath (Nancy), her sisters Rose Tice (Del), Joan Thomas (Dave), Julie Cervini (Rick), Mary Jo Rizzo (Len), Teresa Walrath (Shelby Patrick), and sister-in-law Betty Walrath, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Rose and John Walrath, brother Dahn Walrath, sister Mary Beth Curtin, nephews Bryan Cervini, Christopher Thomas and Peter Walrath, great niece Alexis Rizzo, and sister-in-law Carol Walrath
