Luciano Oranday, age 53, of Hondo, TX, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children.
Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3) Oranday, was born on October 10, 1971, in Hondo, TX to Dora and Julio Oranday. He was a graduate of Hondo High School and enlisted in the United States Army. He faithfully served his country for 22 years. Throughout his military career CW3 Oranday was known for his dedication, leadership, and integrity earning respect and admiration from his fellow soldiers.
A devoted father and man of strong faith, CW3 Oranday was deeply committed to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his selflessness, compassion and love for those around him.
CW3 Oranday is survived by his wife Melissa Oranday, son Noel Oranday, daughter and son in law Elisea and AJ Ajani, and daughter Melani Oranday (Cedric Sanchez), grandchildren Brandon Weekly, Esme Weekly, Arman Ajani, and Gabriel Ajani, his parents Dora and Julio Oranday, brother Julio Oranday Jr. and sister Melissa Proctor. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, and in-laws. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on October 8th, 2025, family viewing starts at 9:00am to 10:00am, public viewing from 10:00am to 11:00am, service from 11:00am to 11:45am. Burial will be at Garden of Love and Memories in Yancey, TX.
