Oscar Oranday of Collinsville, Texas passed away in his home, Wednesday, September 20, 2023. He was born to Pedro and Francisca Pina Oranday in D'Hanis, Texas, April 11, 1943. Oscar married Maria Jimenez in Hamilton, Texas, December 12, 1961.
Rosary and visitation will be held, Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be, Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, Texas and burial following at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service include Carlos Oranday, Corbin Pyle, Christian Pyle, Dominque Oranday, Bradley Dewitt, and Killian Pyle.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Maria of Collinsville; three sons, Ernesto and wife, Cindy Oranday of Yancey, Texas, Oscar Oranday Jr. of Collinsville, Texas, and Victor and wife, Erika Oranday of Tioga, Texas; one daughter, Leticia and husband, Edward Del Bosque of Collinsville, Texas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Pete and wife, Gloria Oranday of Bandera, Texas, Robert and wife, Gloria Oranday of Yancey, Texas and Jimmy and wife, Joann Oranday of Yancey, Texas; three sisters, Dora and husband, Armando Hernandez of Frisco, Texas, Lydia and husband, Samuel Hernandez of Celina, Texas, and Erlinda and husband, Sebastian Deleon of Hondo, Texas; along with several nieces and nephews.
