HYDEVILLE- Lucien Paul Courcelle, 58 of Hydeville died unexpectedly Wednesday morning November 8, 2023 at his residence.
He was born on April 25, 1965 in Rutland the son of Paul F. and Diane (Barker) Courcelle,
Lucien grew up in Rutland graduating from Mount Saint Joseph Academy in 1983.
He married Colleen Merrill on December 28, 1985.
Lucien was employed as a correctional officer, with the VT Department of Moter Vehicles and as a meat cutter with Prunier's Market and then at Hannaford's.
He was a former member of the Castleton Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a captain and a member of the Lee Lodge Free and Accepted Masons in Castleton.
Lucien enjoyed catering parties.
Survivors include his wife Colleen of Hydeville, 2 sons Mathew Courcelle and his wife Gina of Hubbardton and Adam and his companion Stephanie of Hydeville, 2 granddaughters Norah and Annelise, a grandson Blake, parents Paul and Diane Courcelle of Rutland, sister Alicia Cornelius and her husband Chris of Rutland, brother James Courcelle and his wife Annie of Rutland, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday November 15, 2023 from 3:30PM until 5:30pm at the Durfee Funeral Home, 119 North Main Street, Fair Haven, VT. A Masonic will follow.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
