Lucille(Lucy) Mae Akers, passed away on Monday, January 29th in Mission Viejo, CA. She was 97.
Born May 20, 1926 in Quincy, IL. She is preceded in death by her Father Ernie and Mother Sadie Deege and her husband Melvin Akers.
Lucille is survived by daughters Judy Jacobs(Gary)Murrieta, CA and Jewel Donathan(Rocky) Laguna Woods, CA.
Five Grandchildren- Nathan(Holly) and Brian(Jynette)Jacobs. Justin(Ashley), Josh(Cari), and Sarah Vedder.
Eleven Great Grandchildren -Kaitlyn, Carter, Clayton and Rylee Jacobs. Andrew, Maddie, Hudson, Eve and Greyson Vedder, Levi and Luke Crum.
Melvin and Lucile settled in Jacksonville, IL later moving to Pittsfield and Quincy, IL, Loveland, CO and Laguna Woods, CA.
They were blessed with enjoying their grandchildren and Great Grandchildren in all their activities, sports and major events in their lives.
Lucy loved to knit, golf, go out to lunch, get her hair and nails done! She loved weekly drive with Mel to the ocean to picnic and people watch at Dana Point.
A beautiful Mom, grandmother and friend to many and a strong faith in God.
