Lucille Barniak (nee Masink), age 92, of Brunswick, Ohio passed away July 23, 2025. She was born September 30, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Lucille is survived by her loving children; Thomas Jr., Christine Fink, Dennis (Laura), Linda Epperly (Greg), Debra Devorak (Gary), Sue Tomcho (John), and Carolyn Nemchik. Loving grandmother to: Nathan and Brittany Barniak; Rhiannon, Russell, James Jr., and Anne Fink; David, Cody, and Kela Barniak; Bryon and Derek Miller, Leah Pischieri and Jonah Devorak; Joe Tomcho; McKenzie, Chloe, and Ben Nemchik. Great-grandmother of 9. Also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years,Thomas Barniak; parents Theodore and Anna (Rinkos) Masink; siblings Theodore Masink Jr. and Olga Jankura; grandson Ted Miller; great-granddaughter Ella Fink; and son-in-law James Fink Sr.
Lucille attended Rhodes High School, raised seven children, and worked 25 years as a school bus driver for Brunswick City Schools. She loved music which was always playing in her home, was an avid book reader especially to her grandkids, loved gardening and doing big complicated puzzles, and was a thrift store expert. She was a dedicated member of the East Brunswick Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Lucille lived a full and meaningful life grounded in faith, family, and service. Her memory will live on in our hearts. We await together the time soon when Jesus will awaken all of those safe in Jehovah God's memory.
