Lucille DiFiore ObituaryLucille B. DiFiore, age 82, of Parlin, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Newark to the late Ralph and Anna Jennette, Lucille eventually made her home in Staten Island in 1961, where she built a beautiful life filled with family, friendship, and laughter for over 30 years before retiring to Lakewood in 1998. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Staten Island, NY, for 10 years before retiring-a job she took great pride in and where she made lifelong friends.
Lucille lived life to the fullest. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and loved being part of her community. As the Bingo Chair at the Fairways in Lakewood, she brought people together and made every event feel special. She loved to travel-especially overseas-and was always up for an adventure. Whether she was coordinating bus trips for seniors, playing mahjong, canasta, or card games, or getting out on the dance floor, Lucille had a way of making everything more fun just by being there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 48 years, Dominick DiFiore, and her daughter Veronica Cibelli.
Lucille's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses - Graceann and Charlie Spano, and Ralph and Susan DiFiore, as well as her son in law Anthony Cibelli. She was the proud grandmother of Paul and Danielle Spano, Dominick and Marianna Spano, Dominick DiFiore and his wife Kelcy, Paige DiFiore-Wohr and her husband James, Joseph Cibelli, Michael Cibelli and his wife Krista, Nicholas Cibelli, and Jennifer Cibelli. She adored her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Vincent, Lorenzo, and Daisy, who brought her endless joy and smiles.
Lucille will be remembered for her big heart, her laughter, and the love she poured into everyone around her. She had a gift for making people feel special and a spirit that will continue to shine through her family and all who were lucky enough to know her.
Funeral Services will begin at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin NJ, on Wednesday at 930am. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William. C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery in Wrightstown.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm.
